Tonight you can help spread Memphis music worldwide at the Beale Street Caravan Blowout, 6 – 9 p.m. at A. Schwab’s on Beale! Live music by The Reba Russell Trio, a silent auction, open bar and food by Mac Edwards (Elegant Farmer) make this night well worth the $75 ticket price. All the dollars support the preservation, promotion, and broadcast of Memphis music on Beale Street Caravan, and even if you can’t make it tonight there’s still a way to get involved.
Items available for auction include concert tickets (Lyle Lovett! The Eagles! Steely Dan!), tickets to the ballet and museums, a suite for a Redbirds game, weekend getaways, collectors’ items, delicious wines, gift certificates for restaurants, personal training and more! You can bid tonight, or in advance online (wherever you are) — see the full list here!
And if you’re one of the unlucky ones who can’t make it tonight, here’s a little taste of the Reba Russell Trio:
Beale Street Caravan is the most widely distributed blues radio program in the world, reaching over 2.4 million listeners each week! It’s produced right here in the home of the blues and the birthplace of rock ‘n’ roll, and exists to cover the world with the soulful sounds of the Bluff City and its music makers.
