You may have already heard, but Chris Milam has a big month coming up starting with this year’s SXSW Conference in Austin!
Chris will be making his SXSW debut at the Folk Alliance International Day Party at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, at Threadgill’s World Headquarters. So if you’re making the trip to down to Texas this year, go ahead and put this in your schedule now.
Then, just a week after the conference, Chris will host an exclusive watch party on Saturday, March 23, for the debut of his episode of Sun Studio Sessions at Newby’s starting at 8 p.m. It’s sure to be a memorable night as Chris joins the ranks of Sun Sessions alumni like Lucero and Justin Townes Earle.
Also, this just in: the Snowday Mondays residency at Newby’s has been such a hit that Newby’s invited Chris and his band back for one more Monday night show on February 25. Same deal: $3 cover/$10 Ghost River beer bust. If you haven’t made it out yet, make sure you’re there next week or else you’ll be missing out on what everyone else is talking about.
