Hey guys, this is Trey Hamilton, the new intern here at Signal Flow PR. Just wanted to give y’all the low down on Myla Smith‘s new music video for “This Time I Mean It.”
This past Tuesday, my second day on the job, I got to hang out on Mud Island with Myla and the crew for Day 4 of the video shoot. (Awesome, right?) While there, we shot two scenes for the video. One at a gorgeous house in Harbor Town and another shopping at Miss Cordelia’s .
Now, I can’t give too much away, but if you’ve listened to “This Time I Mean It,” you’ll know it’s about the idea of addiction, or things that keep coming back in our lives no matter how many times we try to shove them out. So, for the video, the storyline follows Myla around as she tries to get rid of a mysterious object that seems to keep chasing her. (I can’t tell you what it is. You’ve got to watch the video!)
Despite dealing with the unpredictable, such as the Memphis cold or wild horses (oh yeah, there were horses), the filming went great and was a lot of fun – and much credit for that goes to the fantastic team from New School Media! Stay tuned here for the final cut, scheduled for a late February premiere.
